Laminate Sockets
Securing an intimate fit with the check socket, clinicians will provide patients with a final, laminated socket. A liquid plastic is mixed with a catalyst and used to saturate reinforced textiles applied over a positive model. The liquid plastic bonds the fabric layers together, creating a lamination. Laminated sockets can be personalized with fabric or pigmented to match skin tones. For personalized laminations, send in fabric when placing the order. We’ll include in the lamination at no extra charge.
