WillowWood Education Centers are located in Mt. Sterling, Ohio, and Salt Lake City, Utah.

OMEGA® Training, 2018 (OM7)
Upon purchase of an OMEGA System, practitioners are eligible for this comprehensive two-day training course. The first day begins with an orientation to the software, followed by an introduction to scanning techniques, software tool usage, and customized modification plans to suit the individual clinical need. The second day continues with hands-on practice for capturing and modifying prosthetic and orthotic shapes with some prosthetic socket fitting involvement. An additional online follow-up is part of the training regimen and will be scheduled by the end of the training class. This course is also recommended for new hires of existing OMEGA license holders.

WillowWood® One TT Technician Training (WW4)
Primarily aimed for the technician in your facility, this one-day seminar will provide hands-on instruction in the fabrication of airtight transtibial sockets for the WillowWood One System. Emphasis will be placed on critical aspects of the process such as fabricating a flexible inner socket, creating an attachment surface for the One Link, and assembling the finished socket. Please note the fee for WillowWood One TT system fabrication training at WillowWood is $250 per attendee.

LimbLogic Webinar (GP1)
Participants in this instructor-led training session will receive an overview of the practical approach to the LimbLogic elevated vacuum system. Topics include shape capture, socket fitting, vacuum parameter adjustment, and field diagnostics. Attendees will also learn how to use the LimbLogic Communicator to help diagnose problems and provide usage data.

Alpha Liners for the New CPO Webinar (GP2)
This two-hour seminar provides an overview of the various options available in the Alpha Liner product family. Participants will learn the characteristics and applications of the various types of interface materials and profiles, recommended cast and modification criteria, the concept of “retrofitting,” volume management, and post-delivery assessments.

Alpha DESIGN® Liners (GP3)
Participants in this seminar will receive an overview of the latest recommendations for providing custom liners, with emphasis placed on the new WillowWood app for Alpha DESIGN Liner creation and ordering. Topics include shape capture, app features and usage, pitfalls to avoid, and the associated online forms.

Clinical Essentials and Outcome Measures for Elevated Vacuum (GP4)
In an effort to provide direction for clinicians considering the use of elevated vacuum sockets, this presentation covers the results of recent studies on the physiological effects of this technology on the residual limb and biomechanical effects on prosthetic suspension. The product of ongoing research from a VA Initiative Project designed to improve socket function and comfort, this data will provide guidance for clinicians with respect to initial assessments, potential outcome measures, justification, and prolonged use of vacuum technology for a suitable candidate.

WillowWood® One System Webinar (WW1)
Participants in this instructor-led training session will receive an overview of the key aspects of fitting patients with the WillowWood One System, an elevated vacuum system that improves socket fit, function, and comfort through advances in liner technology and seal design. Course topics include patient selection, component function, shape capture, socket fitting, and vacuum parameter adjustment.

OMEGA®

Please note: OMEGA webinars are live, online, instructor-led training sessions (via WebEx) that are designed for those who have purchased an OMEGA System but are unable to attend the two-day OMEGA Training course at one of our Education Centers. OMEGA webinars do not include scanner training or socket fittings.

OMEGA®: The Foundation (OM1)
This webinar will familiarize attendees with the navigation and use of the OMEGA software. Participants will learn how to create new patient shape files and will be introduced to the concept of “stacks,” which are the sets of steps to be completed for the Capture, Design, or Fabrication of the model. Completion of this course is a prerequisite for participating in any of the other OMEGA webinars. This webinar does not include scanner training or socket fittings.

OMEGA®: Transtibial (OM2)
Prerequisite: completion of OMEGA: Foundation

Prerequisite: completion of OMEGA Foundation
After a review of OMEGA system navigation, attendees will learn the software options available for making a custom Alpha DESIGN Liner from a patient shape file, and how to create the interface material profile on that file. Discussion will include patient candidate selection, liner options, and shape capture techniques. This course is intended for OMEGA users who want to be able to make their own liner specifications during the custom liner process. This webinar does not include scanner training or socket fittings.

OMEGA Webinar Series with Roger Wagner, CPO, LPO
We’ve partnered with Roger Wagner, clinician, educator and experienced CAD user, to offer a free summer webinar series. This series is geared toward OMEGA users whose CAD skills range from beginner to advanced. Webinars range in duration from sixty to ninety-minutes.

AFOs
Webinar focuses on AFOs and is designed for the beginner CAD user. The session will introduce scanning positions and techniques, scanning processes, Capture and Design stack tips, and a typical AFO user modification.

Advanced AFOs
Webinar focuses on AFOs and is designed for the intermediate to advanced CAD user. The session details advanced modification steps, template libraries, Design stack libraries, and fabrication choices for AFOs.

Design Stack Creation
Webinar is intended for the beginner CAD user. Participants will learn how to utilize the OMEGA Design stack modifications both individually and collectively for efficient shape file utilization in a clinician’s practice routine.
