OMEGA® Training, 2018 (OM6)
Upon purchase of an OMEGA System, practitioners are eligible for this comprehensive, one-day training course, which begins with an orientation to the software, followed by an introduction to scanning techniques and software tool usage. The day continues with hands-on practice for capturing and modifying prosthetic and orthotic shapes, socket fitting, and customized modification plans to suit the individual clinical need. This course is also recommended for new hires of existing OMEGA license holders.

WillowWood® One System: Training & Certification (WW2)
Attendees at this one-day WillowWood Education seminar will learn how to fit patients with the WillowWood One System, an elevated vacuum system that improves socket fit, function, and comfort through advances in liner technology and seal design. Course topics include patient selection, component function, shape capture, vacuum parameter adjustment, and troubleshooting. Attendees will receive hands-on experience with patient models in critical aspects of the fitting process such as evaluating the diagnostic socket and customizing the sealing components to apply vacuum over as much of the limb as possible. Participants will also learn how to use the LimbLogic Communicator to optimize their use of the system. Certification is required in order to purchase and fit the WillowWood One TF System.

Webinars by WillowWood for 2018

In addition to scheduled dates for 2018, our webinars are also available by request. When requesting a webinar, please review the course topics and then complete the request form to schedule. All webinars are scheduled on Eastern time and conducted in English.

Please note: OMEGA webinars are live, online, instructor-led training sessions (via WebEx) that are designed for those who have purchased an OMEGA System but are unable to attend the one-day OMEGA Training course at one of our Education Centers. OMEGA webinars do not include scanner training or socket fittings.

LimbLogic Webinar (GP1)
Participants in this instructor-led training session will receive an overview of the practical approach to the LimbLogic elevated vacuum system. Topics include shape capture, socket fitting, vacuum parameter adjustment, and field diagnostics. Attendees will also learn how to use the LimbLogic Communicator to help diagnose problems and provide usage data.

Alpha Liners for the New CPO Webinar (GP2)
This two-hour seminar provides an overview of the various options available in the Alpha Liner product family. Participants will learn the characteristics and applications of the various types of interface materials and profiles, recommended cast and modification criteria, the concept of “retrofitting,” volume management, and post-delivery assessments.

WillowWood Apps Webinar (GP3)
WillowWood has developed a number of online apps to help clinicians manage their workload efficiently. This seminar covers the features of the WillowWood Apps, where to download them, how to use them, and what clinical information is available for administrative use. Participants will have the chance to familiarize themselves with the programs through hands-on practice.

Alpha DESIGN® Liners Webinar (GP4)
Participants in this seminar will receive an overview of the latest recommendations for providing custom liners, with emphasis placed on the new WillowWood app for DESIGN Liner creation and ordering. Topics include shape capture, app features and usage, pitfalls to avoid, and the associated online forms.

Outcome Research: Clinical Essentials for Vacuum Prostheses Webinar (GP5)
In an effort to provide direction for clinicians considering the use of elevated vacuum sockets, this presentation covers the results of recent studies on the physiological effects of this technology on the residual limb and biomechanical effects on prosthetic suspension. The product of ongoing research from a VA Initiative Project designed to improve socket function and comfort, this data will provide guidance for clinicians with respect to initial assessments, potential outcome measures, justification, and prolonged use of vacuum technology for a suitable candidate.

OMEGA®: The Foundation (OM1)
This webinar will familiarize attendees with the navigation and use of the OMEGA software. Participants will learn how to create new patient shape files and will be introduced to the concept of “stacks,” which are the sets of steps to be completed for the Capture, Design, or Fabrication of the model. Completion of this course is a prerequisite for participating in any of the other OMEGA webinars. This webinar does not include scanner training or socket fittings.
